Dear friends,
This December 24 is the anniversary of the murder of 14 year old Maisie Shaw at the United Church residential school in Port Alberni. To remember Maisie, and the 50,000 other children who died in these "schools", and to call for a return of their remains, we are holding two vigils in downtown Toronto early in February. Please attend. Attached to this email are posters for the two rallies: the first on Friday, February 8, at the Catholic Diocese offices (noon), and the second the following Sunday, February 10, outside Metropolitan United Church (10 am). Please post and circulate these notices widely, and plan to attend, especially the Sunday vigil. I will be speaking that Thursday, February 7, at York University; contact me for more info. And have a great Christmas, In honour of the children, Kevin Annett / Eagle Strong Voice www.hiddenfromhistory.org pager: 1-888-265-1007 Link to our documentary film UNREPENTANT: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-6637396204037343133&q=unrepentant&total=124&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 Read and Hear the truth of Genocide in Canada, past and present, at this website: www.hiddenfromhistory.org “Kevin is more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize than many who have received it in the past.” - Dr. Noam Chomsky Institute Professor Emeritus Massachusetts Institute of Technology “A courageous and inspiring man."
