July 12, 2004 - 10 Guineas for a Micmac scalp in Nova Scotia - a law that may still be on the books. The enslavement of Indigenous Peoples was instituted by the French and the English during the fur trade wars of the 17th Century. These slaves were called Panís. Much of the city of Halifax was built on slave labour, and regular slave auctions were held in Halifax and Montreal until 1818. Listen to our guests on various subjects and also a  scholarly dissertation on the Church's predominant role in the genocide of the Native people of this continent.

June 28, 2004 - Peter Yellow Cloud of the Ojibawa/Lakota Nation in Manitoba describes the action as the band tries to declare sovereignty, separate itself from government funding and live according to traditional ways and laws, only to be violently attacked by the band council.

June 21, 2004Law suit - Thousands of Duplessis orphans were incarcerated in insane asylums for profit and deadly medical  experimentation by Roman Catholic "doctors", with the corpses sold by the nuns to the medical schools for $10.00 each. (see article). Wilf Price, Haida activist, whose Haida name means Flag Bearer, tells his sad story of almost unbelievable malice and abuse by Church and State.

May 24, 2004 - A  Denuntia was presented to the Canadian Embassy in by Indigenous organizations of Guatamala City demanding an investigation into allegations of genocide against Native Canadians. Weyerhauser is poisoning the Nanaimo water system and cutting the last of our Old Growth Forest.

April 26, 2004 -  The Women's Center in the East Side is  the focus of attention.
